Staying safe
Most rental fraud in Abuja works the same way, and it needs you to do one thing: pay somebody directly. Read this once and it stops working on you — here or anywhere else.
4U will never
- Ask you to pay rent, a deposit or a fee into a personal bank account. Every payment goes through the site, and the account it reaches is the company's.
- Ask you to pay before you have seen the property, unless you have chosen to and said so.
- Ask for your bank password, your card PIN, or a code sent to your phone. Nobody at 4U needs any of them, ever.
- Ask you to pay an agent in cash to “hold” a property.
- Contact you from a personal email address about money. Ours end in @4ueasyliving.com.
- Rush you. Anybody telling you a flat will be gone in an hour is telling you not to check.
4U always
- Somebody from 4U has stood inside every property on this site before it appeared.
- The full cost is shown before you pay — rent, agency fee, caution fee, legal fee, and what 4U charges. No figure appears later that was not on that page.
- Your receipt comes from us, with a reference you can quote back to us.
- Where your deposit is protected, the listing says so before you request a viewing.
If somebody has asked you for money outside the site
Stop, and tell us — even if you are not sure, and even if you have already paid. Email support@4ueasyliving.com or call +234 902 394 8372. If money has already left your account, tell your bank as well, and do not send more.
If a listing looks wrong
Every listing has a Report this listing link. Photographs that appear on other sites, a price far below everything around it, or an agent who will not meet you at the property are all worth telling us about. We inspected it and put our name on it, so it is our problem.
If you are in danger right now
Call 112 or 199, and use the SOS button — it reaches our response desk and needs no account.
